Full Description

`Mr Southwell's Mill', shown on John Norden's maps 5 & 6 of 1601 on N side of Butley river. Water? mill with possible mill leat shown (see map in Sudbourne parish file)(S1)(R1).
According to Norden's map site approximately on parish boundary. A building, named `Poplar' was shown on the 1950s OS 1:10560 map at this approximate location, now gone and within mixed woodland (Forestry Commission?).
