Full Description
Mid-late January 1992: small double headed rivet metal detected from ploughsoil on chalk hillock. North of (circa 20m?) and separate from remains of rapier, MNL 446 (S1). The rivet has domed heads with slight platforms. Slight (hammer) splitting around edges of heads which are angled at about 20 degrees from parallel, length 1.3cms, shaft diameter circa 0.4cms, head diameter circa 0.5cms.
Note spearhead tip MNL 140 and rapier and dirk, MNL 103, spearhead frag MNL 454 and moustache-like objects MNL 544 & 545 from same field. Size of rivet suggests further small dirk/dagger or probably knife.
