Summary

1992: Fieldwalking by Sylvia Laverton located large amount of ?building debris all over area transected by public footpath consisting broken brick (all red bats) and tile (peg, mostly similar to that produced at WLV 001 & WLV 018) and stone, both large and small.

Full Description

1992: Fieldwalking by Sylvia Laverton located large amount of ?building debris all over area transected by public footpath consisting broken brick (all red bats) and tile (peg, mostly similar to that produced at WLV 001 & WLV 018) and stone, both large and small. Evidence of fire (transect 1) - much charcoal and soil noticeably black. Possible site of building/s removed by Berners? Documentary search being undertaken by Sylvia Laverton. Also 6 body sherds Med coarseware, including 2 ? EMed (S1)(S2).
