Full Description

Cropmark of ring ditch - approx 20m diameter. Possible gap facing W (TM35834218) (S1). W of ADT 027. S of trackway
The remains of a possible plough-levelled Bronze Age round barrow are visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs in Alderton parish centred on TM 35904215, just to the south of Buckanay Farm. The ring ditch encloses an area of 23m in diameter and its proximity to a number of other ring ditches suggests that it may be the plough-levelled remains of a Bronze Age round barrow.
