Full Description
1992: coins - 3 denarii, one Commodus (180-192), one Septimus Severus (AD 206), the other illegible late C2- early C3, also bronze Ae 3 of Constantian (AD 318-324) and 4 sherds grey ware - found metal detecting by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)(S1)(S2).
1994: Further metal detected finds from (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) consist of 7 Rom bronze coins (list in file), 3 Colchester derivative brooches (fragments), a trumpet type brooch fragment, and a bronze pin head. Details in (S3). Also Med long-cross silver farthing and various Un bronze fragments. See (S3).
1994: Further detector finds from (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) include brooches (Hod Hill variant, Colchester derivative rear hook type, trumpet type and disc type), a bronze finger ring, 8 coins (C1-C3) and 1 Samian base. Details in (S4).
1995: Further detector finds from (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)(defined area of site extended on HER maps) include inged head/plate type enamelled brooch - details & drawing in (S4). Sestertius of Marcus Aurelius (AD 161-180) and 15 sherds pottery (C1/C2).
1996: Detected plate brooch from (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), details and drawing in (S3). Also occasional Med & PMed finds.
