Full Description

Bronze padlock: hexagonal case with pairs of incised wavy lines on lower three faces. Fairly corroded. Mushroom shaped hole at one end, centre hollow, central 'vertical' bar at other end next to slot in top face. Cast with flat link and circular section top bar tapering down. Single hole in casing next to junction. Possible Rom dating (S1)(S2). Later interpreted as Medieval (10/01/02). Also four Rom bronze coins - see Rom coin identification sheet.
