Summary

1992: Group of metal detected finds including: C15/C17 copper alloy belt fitting, decorative plate with three projections, pierced to take rivets and loop at one end, latter (?) for hooking in another belt; C16/C17 copper alloy "wheel" shaped fitting, segmented ring, surrounding cross bars which are pierced at centre for rivet, possible harness fitting; late C16/ C17 silver coin, sheaf of wheat on one side? Crest on other. Formerly recorded as BAD MISC.

Full Description

1992: Group of metal detected finds including: C15/C17 copper alloy belt fitting, decorative plate with three projections, pierced to take rivets and loop at one end, latter (?) for hooking in another belt; C16/C17 copper alloy "wheel" shaped fitting, segmented ring, surrounding cross bars which are pierced at centre for rivet, possible harness fitting; late C16/ C17 silver coin, sheaf of wheat on one side? Crest on other. Weight 1.02g, probably foreign (Dutch or Scandinavian); worn halfpenny 16.. William & Mary period, C17; Worn farthing, probably late C17; ?Victorian farthing ? 1839; small copper alloy weight DG 17/J5, late C17/C18 (S1).
