Full Description

Complete, plain, socketed and looped axe with very splayed crecentric cutting edge. Length circa 10.0cms, blade width circa 5.5cms, mostly dark green patina but some bronze colour showing suggesting possible recent disturbance. Some recent(?) scrape marks across one face. Details from slides only, not drawn. Metal detected in 1992 by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)(now sold?). No other finds reported from area (S1)(S2).
