Full Description

1993: Small scatter of worked flints found in remains of ploughsoil following topsoil stripping prior to gravel extraction. Scatter of 10 worked flints recovered, found spread of circa 25m diameter area (S1). Not noted in initial fieldwalking survey (1992). No other worked flints recovered from rest of stripped field despite very flinty, gravelly nature of soil. Three further worked flints found in field to South. See ING 040

Descriptions of flint finds are broad, dating to a specific period bracket is ill-advised. However, they may be later Prehistoric, based on details of discovery, (S2).
