Full Description
Fieldwalking by Edward Savery, 1993, located a scatter of unglazed C13-C14 pottery with small amounts of possible C12-C13 pottery and late Med part- glazed wares. Also fragments of lava millstone (S1). A certain amount of PMed material on the site probably comes from the site of a building in the narrow strip of land immediately adjoining (see PMed).
Sites lies on the northern edge of the former Thorpe Green or Common (see IXT 018).
Small amount of possible Rom pottery also recovered (S1).
