Full Description
Fieldwalking by Edward Savery, 1993, located a scatter of unglazed C13-C14 pottery, together with a small amount of late Med part-glazed pottery and some lava millstone fragments along the northern edge of the former Thorpe Green or Common (S1). Scatter lies slightly to the SE of a building shown on an estate map of 1769 (S2) and on the 1st edition OS map of 1837 at TL 9130 7315, but now gone. Very little PMed material occurs in the pottery scatter. See also IA.
