Full Description
Scatter of (metal detected?) metalwork and pottery found near the southern edge of the former Clay Lane (see RAT 020) by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), reported by P Northeast. Finds consist of a iron socketed and barbed arrowhead - a hunting type of the C13- C15, a bronze `rumbler' or harness bell, 2 lead discs, probably weights, 2 lead repair plugs, 8 sherds of pottery, unglazed, C13-C14 (S1).
Field recorded as (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s). A pond is shown in the south part of the field on the Tithe Map and on the 1:10560 OS map.
