Full Description
Moat occupied, near crossroads, part gone (S1).
Visited by a volunteer Chris Davey September 1985 - notes in parish file (S2).
To the E of the house are three connected water features that possibly form the remains of the N, E & S arms of a homestead moat. The E arm is no more than a drainage ditch c4.0m wide which connects to the N arm (c.10.0m wide) by means of a narrow channel. The S arm is c9.0m wide. There is no certain indication that the arms ever continued westwards and it may be that this irregular shaped feature is a drainage or cattle pond complex.
