Full Description

Windmill (site of). An estate map of 1806 marks a small square moated site in `Mount Pasture' adjacent to a lane called the `Chase Way'. The field to the east was called `Mill Harveys'; the combined acreage of Mill Pasture and Mill Harveys approximate to that of a field called `Windmill Harvis' in 1722 (S1). The Tithe Apportionment of 1840 names `Mount Pasture' but the moated site is not shown on the map of 1841 (S2). The site is not marked on the modern 1:10000 map.
