Full Description
Metal detector finds: Late Saxon silver coin (sceat or proto-penny)(1), series (TIC) with diademed bust, standard reverse. Small solder mark below bust indicates use as pendant. Assumed to be from Kingdom of Kent, one of earliest issues of silver coinage in Anglo-Saxon England, 675-690 AD (S1).
Early Medieval silver cut half-penny (32) of Aethelred II, 979-985 AD , inscr. '+AEDEL[ ]GLOX', moneyer I-O LVNDON (S1).
