Full Description

Remains of landscape park c. 110 ha, c. 1791 by Humphrey Repton for Sir William Rowley. House (c. 1784 by Soane - see SBN 064) set on eminence with extensive views. Lawns to SW, vista to open park. Ha-ha; pleasure grounds with woodland walks.
To SW of park, canal or probable former fishpond terminated by temple c.1730 in Kent style. Drive from N-S. Dovecote C18 (see SBN 063)(S1).
