Full Description

`Burthorpe greene' named and shown, as a small triangular green with scattered houses on three sides, on a map of 1597 (S1)(S2). Named as `Burthorp Green' and shown on J Hodskinson's Map of Suffolk 1783. Named as `Burthorpe' on modern OS 1:10,000 map, and shown as a small triangular open area with houses on three sides.
