Full Description

Scatter of (IA?) flint-tempered sherds, mostly small. Also a sherd with grog and sand as fillers, pale buff, with a row of fingernail impressions on the exterior - possibly Early Bronze Age; and a black, sandy fabric sherd that may be Early Saxon. Burnt flints also noted (S1).
See also Rom & Sax.
See DBN 034 for probable continuation of the site to the west of the sewage works.
