Full Description

Bronze razor, single bladed with one end loop - a Hallstatt C type (compare examples from Hills Road, Cambridge and Syon Reach - Jockenhovel, Die Rasiermesser in Westeuropa,p202, no 666A & 720). Found with a metal detector by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) 1985. Information per SAU Ipswich, (S1). Flint flakes, some with secondary working, also found. Information per Ipswich Museum (S2).
A bronze socketed axe was found some time ago in the same field by the farmer who retains it - exact findspot uncertain (S2). The axe is of the characteristic 'south eastern' type of the LBA and is virtually identical to the axe from the Boyton hoard found with a fragment of a Hallstatt C sword (S3). Illustrated in (S4).
