Full Description

1992: Fieldwalking assessment prior to proposed conversion to golf course located large thin (Early?) Rom scatter/s. Designated `Area C', over c.40m across and adjoining `Area D', over c.180m x 120m area. HER'd as one site. Finds from Area C listed as: 2 rim, 2 base and 2 body sherds (including C1(?) Belgic related jar). Also 1 body sherd Med, 2 body sherds Rom or Med and 2 tile fragments (PMed?).
Finds from Area D listed as: 5 rim, 2 base and 16 body sherds Rom greyware, 3 body sherds with grogged fabric (C1). Also 5 body sherds of Rom or Med ware and lava quern fragment. Also 12 Med sherds and 17 brick tile fragments (most probably PMed). Details in (S1).
