Full Description

Earthworks of Little Fakenham DMV to the south of Park House, Euston. Irregular `platforms' in location of EUN 006 (supposed church site), with parallel banks to NE forming wide `holloway'. To the south east there can be seen a sunken track running from north of Black Bourn to south of The Racing Stables. Either side of this are areas of terracing up the hillside, with approximately 6 or 7 main platform areas. Proximity of church suggests it is site of Fakenham Parva village, deserted by the late C17 and possibly much earlier (see details for EUN 006)(S1). 1840 Tithe Map describes this area as Home Paddock and Stable Paddock.
Note also area of former gravel digging - see EUN 006. Formerly recorded under EUN 006 (sf 18503).
