Full Description
1990-1995: Rom pottery & metalwork scatter, pottery concentrated around TL 9250 4480. Finds listed as: over 30 coins (not seen), mainly early C4 plus a few worn Sestertii; glass, at least 3.4 Rom vessel fragments plus glass `blob', possibly a poorly produced gaming counter; pottery - 1 amphora handle, 4 storage jar fragments (C1), 3 decorated samian fragments, rouletted red fabric colour coat sherd (probably C3), 2 rouletted greyware sherds, large amount of greywares (small sample only seen); metalwork - 2 Rom terminals, 2 dolphin brooches (not seen), 2 crossbow brooch fragments and 1 crossbow(?) knob, 1 possible seal box fragment, 1 (Rom?) weight & 1 (Rom?) acorn fitting (S1).
