1995: Palstave found on field surface by tenant farmer. Taken in to Reading Museum by daughter, in August/September 1995, for identification. Looped, with `trident' pattern blade decoration, circa 16cms long and about 510 grammes in weight. Said to be in good condition though sketch shows blade edge to be corroded &/or damaged. Described as having `a rather dull dark grey surface' and thought to have high lead content (S1). Narrow bladed form of late MBA or early LBA.
