Full Description
Bronze stirrup mount said to be from Brandon, length 44m, width 33mm. Similar to Ashley/Penn/Rogerson series but more crudely modelled. Filing marks all around head. Pear-shaped head with ears, apparently on top. Hair lines vertically on forehead made with rocker-trace punch. Two Fe rivets on 45 degree strange Fe strap sear c.18mm wide. Fe rivet survives in upper hole. Rectangular plate with scalloped edge decorated with animal head in relief. LSax or EMed, drawing in (S1).
Probably metal detected, recorded through dealer.
