Full Description

Scatter of clay pipe fragments including numerous bowls. Most of the bowls have round flat spurs without any marks, but one has a heart-shaped mark containing a letter T(?) with down-curling cross bar. The forms suggest a late C17/C18 date (S1). The quantity of fragments suggests that this is possibly a pipe production area or a dump from pipe production nearby.
