Full Description

Bronze openwork fragment - rectangular section edge strips with two closed running spiral between. Broken both ends. Punched dot decoration on both faces (largely worn away). White metal surface surviving along edges and a small area of one face - this layer of silver(?) is quite thick in the surviving areas. Lesley Webster, BM, suggested C8/C9 date, function unclear. Drawing in file (S1). Not stated how found.
