Full Description

Site of small water mill named `Hall Myll' situated on island made by Chad Brooke, shown on Israel Amyce map of 1580 (S1).
Recorded as having wheel, gutted in 1959 (S2).
`This mill was locked at Easter 1959 and by July she had been demolished, so no particulars were taken. Externally she was of timber frame, brick, plaster and weatherboarding, with a tiled roof. The mill house was built on to one end. The mill itself had been added to and an engine house at the end had been demolished'(S3). Also shown on Kirby's map of 1736 (S4).
