Full Description

Round barrow (site of) depicted on OS 1st edition map (S1). According to (S2) sited to TL 6116 6352 and `is now visible on APs as a ploughed-out ring ditch, 75ft in diameter (S2)(R1)(S4)(R2). Also located by (S3) to TL 611 635. For alternative location see EXG 070. April 1995: Transferred from Cambridgeshire to Suffolk with county boundary change.
September 1996: Relocated to TL 6120 6352 approximately after (S1). Precise location needs checking against APs. Centred around TL 612 636 in (S4). For other barrows/ring ditches on Newmarket Heath see EXG 022, 066-067, 069- 071 & Misc.
