Full Description

Flint axe, 14.3cm x 5.2cm x 1.9cm, weight 179g. Grey flint, unpatinated. Unpolished, but some blurring of the flake ridges around the blade. Found during pipelaying, in deep peat in Kirkley Fen circa 1986 (S1).
