Full Description

1996: Half of a stone `macehead', 8.6cm diameter, 2.9cm thick - hourglass perforation, diameter 3.4cm at the top, 2.5cm in middle. Quartzite, slightly polished - Mesolithic to Early Bronze Age(?). Drawing in file (S1).

Found, during metal detector survey(?) on mainly Roman and Medieval site.
