Full Description
Finder reports numerous Med/PMed objects from this field, mostly along its N edge (where it adjoins sunken way, WFG 023). None seen at SAU but said to be coins, mainly Edward pennies but including fragments of William I, up to James I, pottery and bronze strap ends, buckles etc. He also says that a C17 pest house is recorded as being here (S1).
1996: further(?) detector finds include lozenge shaped (Med?) pendant (drawn) and PMed pewter mount/button and S-shaped clasp. Details in (S1). Two C13 lead seals and two C14 bronze seals.
1997: further detector finds including silver finger ring (S1).
1998: Bronze mount with acorn terminals, part of metal detected finds of mainly unknown objects (S1).
