Full Description
September 1996: Metal detector find during Ipswich & District Detector Club rally of bronze wire clip(?), related to wrist clasps - type 7 in West Stow report (1985, p143-4 and Fig 265, nos 10 & 11) where suggested to be some other type of dress fastener. Consists of 6 main wires wrapped by compacted thinner wire `sleeve'. Details and drawing in file (S1). Possibly C6.
Other examples known from Sax sites at Eriswell, Mildenhall (Holywell Row) & Icklingham.
No findspot given.
