Full Description

Thin scatters of pottery and metalwork. Possible concentrations centred at TL 7658 7065 and TL 7647 7042. Coins include four C3 - one Carausius - and a worn C1. A bronze lion head stud with iron pin found at TL 7659 7064 (S1). A bronze collar mount, bent plate and loop on underside for ? terret ring attachments. Probably one of a set of objects to fasten on either side of the terrets (S2). Two fragments of bronze bracelets, lengths 4.5cm and 5cm and a stud, length 2.9cm (S3).
The site lies to the W of a probable former mere - now low lying pasture - and there is also evidence of occupation in the Mes, IA, ESax and Med periods. There is also Rom occupation to the S and E - CAM 006 and LKD 019.
