Full Description

August 1998: Evaluation and excavation of site revealed (group of ditches, building and other features of Med date. Details in (S1)(S2).
Feb - Aug 1999: Full excavation in two separate areas (1 & 2) identified a rectangular EMed building, rows of post holes and boundary ditches etc. Details in (S2).
Finds include 6 ESax quartz tempered sherds and 4 sherds Thetford ware. Also Preh

1998: Trial trenching revealed two ditches of probabale medieval date (S4).
1998: A desk-based study for a large development area to the north and north-east of Carlton Colville church has identified parts of the site which are likely to contain archaeological deposits of prehistoric and medieval date (S5).
