Full Description
September-October 1993: Excavation located 49 sherds of 'IA' pottery and 8 post holes dated to the Iron Age. The post holes were widely spaced on the site and did not seem to be related to each other as part of a recognisable structure. Also one quernstone fragment fashioned from Hertforshire Pudding Stone of Iron Age date was found residually on a post hole from a Saxon structure. Details in (S1).
Also Med, Sax & Rom.
