Full Description

1998: Metal detected, copper alloy Roman coin, illegible. Copper Alloy Roman brooch, hollowed back, decoration unusual, an asymmetrical triangular ridge down centre of bow, flanked by diagonal slashes which faces downwards on left, upwards on right, decoration at the head of bow, cast in one piece, with it part of pin still present, catchplate incomplete. Pottery found by eye, mainly grey ware but includes one samian ware sherd. Further details in (S1).
