Full Description
Four rectangular (ditched?) encampments and 'magazine of wood & St(..?)' , under command of Major General Wardle from 6 July to 6 September 1778 (S1). Enclosures labelled '4 Drag'. '10 Drag'; '7 Drag'; & '8 Drag'. These cavelry regiments were the 4th Dragoons; the 10th Dragoons; the 7th or Queens Own Dragoons; the 8th, or the Kings Royal Irish Light Dragoons (S2).
