Full Description

2003: Archaeological monitoring of groundwork revealed the remains of an east-west aligned, roughly built, flint wall, probably associated with a boundary (as marked on early OS maps) and tentatively dated to the late medieval or post medieval period. The site is a terraced formed on a steep slope, the wall pre-dates this. Evidence recorded during the monitoring indicates a mid to late 20th century date for the construction of this terrace (S1).
