Full Description

A single pit with Beaker pottery was found just north of the edge of the ESax cemetery, ERL 008, during excavation and monitoring work for an extension to Building 916. Only two features were identified, one of which produced Late Neo/Early BA pottery. This indicates possible settlement activity of this date nearby but there was no evidence that the Early Saxon cemetery continued into this area (S1).
