Full Description

1972: grey pottery, base of samian form 33 and fragments of roofing tile, and a fragment of puddingstone quern found on surface of ploughed field (S1). Extent of scatter marked on photocopy of 25 inch map following observation of fence line construction?(S2).
2000: fieldwalking by R Steerwood - defined extent of small finds above as two discreet areas: TM 42016235 primary dense scatter (as above) including tesserae, tile, hypocaust & pottery; TM 42226233: large tile fragments, hypocaust fragment & dense scatter potter. Details in (S3).
