Full Description
Top of human skull found in sandy spoil from footings for extension to Mill House, at cited NGR, on 31st October 2006. Reported to police who referred finder to SCCAS.
Skull examined by Sue Anderson - adult female, probably middle-aged or older. Degree of erosion suggests Medieval/Post Medieval (or possibly earlier)(S1). However, as said to have been found in sand by finder a Post Medieval date seems most likely (S2).
