Full Description
2002: rapid survey identified pair of linear banks, circa 5m wide & 70cm high, 27m apart, defining edges of Icknield Way (see IKL 105). Westernmost also marks line of parish boundary between Icklingham and West Stow. Probably of Medieval or later date. Details in (S1).
Extent of banks not determined.
Formerly numbered (in error - duplicate) as IKL 137.
July 2019. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
The earthworks identified by the above survey (see above) have now been recorded as part of IKL 364 along with further possible medieval-post medieval boundary banks identified by the Breckland National Mapping Programme along the supposed alignment of the Icknield Way (IKL 105).
