Full Description
1998: Metal detected silver coin. Also Roman coin. (S1)
Silver coin, dished, Diameter 12-12.5mm, weight 1.37gm obv. Diademed head to L. worm. Similar VanArsdell 80-1 horse to l. ? 2 pellets in front, pellet is beaded ring above. As Van-Arsdell 80-1, detail of horses head very similar to Gregory, 1992 p.lg no 3.
This is Gregory's Bury Tribe A, An early Icenian type. Date Late Iron Age, Circa mid-late C1 BC
Roman bronze coin, DNCONSTA/NSPFAUG. Feltemp reparatio, Phoenix on a globe. Mint TRP, 348-350 AD.
