Full Description

Complete wooden splatcher/splasher (rectangular wooden 'over-sole' for walking across river silt) found on the surface of tidal estuary in Holbrook Bay (S1). Has wooden diagonal cross-form strengthening, fixed by wooden pegs (suggesting relatively early date) on underside and four perforations (for thongs to attach to feet). In very good condition. Found, and donated to SCCAS, by Martin Atkinson, 2009.
