Summary

A long stretch of canal leading from Fullermill. The River Lark narrows around midpoint. Continues then slightly bends round Alder Court. Joined by another canal or marsh before going onto Lackford Bridge canal for a short time before following the original river course (S1). The small stretch of canal can be seen on aerial photographs and is most likely post medieval-modern in date.

Full Description

A long stretch of canal leading from Fullermill. The River Lark narrows around midpoint. Continues then slightly bends round Alder Court. Joined by another canal or marsh before going onto Lackford Bridge canal for a short time before following the original river course (S1).

January 2020. Breckland National Mapping Programme.
A small stretch of post medieval-modern canal can be seen on aerial photographs (S2-S3). The canal has not been mapped as part of this survey as it is mapped in good detail on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map (S4).
