Full Description

3 Sept 2006: metal detecting rally over 3 fields (see Events GIS layer for mapping) located scatter of finds, mostly Post Med and Modern but including a Roman bow brooch fragment and at least one Roman coin (recorded by Jude Plouviez on notated map as '?area of Roman finds' at TM 2543 4173), a Medieval strap end and a few cut half pennies.
Not attended by a professional archaeologist but finds identified from images forwarded by Ken Wilcox (rally organiser)(S1).
Note fields contain various cropmarks (BUC 080) including 3 ring diches and a small oval enclosure (BUC 049-052).
