Full Description

Sub-circular mound, circa 15m diameter and 1.5m high, on the edge of Blaxhall Heath. Clipped by a track on its western edge, it is heavily overgrown with bracken, no large standing trees but a few sawn-off stumps, also heavily rutted by Forestry Commission machinery (S1). Possible barrow.
Scheduled 26 January 1993. Grid reference amended to TM 3857 5618 from previous TM 3857 5620. Height stated at 0.8m. Details in (S2).

November 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Beauty National Mapping Programme.
The earthworks of the previously recorded round barrow are visible on the Lidar 2m DTM imagery (S3). The Lidar imagery would suggest that the barrow is located further to the south than previously recorded.
