Full Description

Pre January 1985, found in River Waveney W of Denmark Bridge, a partly polished flint axe head, circa 21.3cm x 8.2cm x 3.9cm (from sketch). Information from N C Redfern, History Department, Diss High School. Artefact at Castle Museum Norwich October 1986 as not collected and no reply to letters. Drawn. Information from W Milligan 25 February 1985 (S1).
Found in river and may therefore be from Norfolk (Diss parish, South Norfolk district) or Suffolk. NAU HER number 22979.
