Full Description
January 2015. Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Beauty National Mapping Programme..
At least three, possibly four World War Two bomb craters are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (S1-S2) on land to the east of Newdelight Covert, Blythburgh, at least one of which is still visible until 1955 (S3). The north-eastern-most of these possible craters is the least certain, but has been mapped due to the existence of the other three. A further three bomb craters are visible just under 300m to the west (SHER BLB 100).These earthworks are now mostly levelled, although at least one apprears to be visible on the Lidar imagery from 2010 (S4).
