Full Description

The building comprises many phases of construction and to the northern end, an 18th Century cottage and weather boarded barn have been added. Generally the building is plastered on timber frame but the cellar is of brick construction and is built into the sloping ground, such that it has an external access door at the rear. The rear elevation is distinctive with three tall historic gables visible from the western side of the Brett valley. The roof is plain tiled with some pantiles on a small lean to and the barn. A C19th single storey rear projection is attached to the 18th Century cottage and this, together with two late 20th Century additions, form a further range of three rear single storey gables (S1).
